Andy Buck
I have lived in Sheffield for 39 years. I am now retired, prior to which I was Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Sheffield, before which I was the Chief Executive of various NHS organisations, having previously worked for social services at Sheffield City Council. As well as being involved with Opus, I am chair of the board of trustees at Voluntary Action Sheffield, a non-executive director of South Yorkshire Housing Association and chair of Steel City Striders Running Club.
Angga Kara
I am an Executive Peak Performance Coach accredited by the EMCC, a TEDx speaker and a men’s mental health specialist.
I help leaders navigate periods of high stress and uncertainty, and combine evidenced-based methodologies with ancient philosophical wisdom to help unlock peak performance. Since 2017, I have been leading MEN UP NORTH, a men’s suicide prevention charity, and helping raise the level of self-awareness for modern men, utilising ‘safe space conversations’ methodology that was developed as part of the process.
I have led over 1,200 conversations with diverse men in the north of England & engaged over 3,000 people in conversations on masculinity, mental health and diversity.
In addition to the Opus Head Board, I also sit on the Sheffield Youth: Neighbourhoods and Communities board, a city-wide coalition of NGOs helping to reduce child exploitation in Sheffield.
Lisa Scanlon
From 2015-2020, I was Director of Membership Engagement at Sheffield Students’ Union with strategic responsibility for leading the non-commercial side of the SU – activities, sport, volunteering, advice and campaigns, plus senior leadership oversight and drive for our 18-year strategy.
I came to Sheffield when I was 18, fell in love with the place and stayed. My background is originally in marketing and I cut my teeth at The Leadmill (1990-95), then went on to City Hall (1995-98) before joining the SU where I have moved around the business over the past 22 years: Director of Marketing, Communications, Strategy & Development (2003), Interim Commercial Director (2014) and Director of Membership Engagement (2015).
My passions are live music, reading, being outside, gardening, walking and yoga. I’m currently learning Spanish and in November 2020 I embarked on my next adventure – a move to Andalusia.
Ola Fagbohun

Over the last 25 years, I have used my extensive knowledge, skills and experience in marketing research and consumer psychology to help diverse private and public sector organisations strategically, practically and effectively monitor, track and apply behavioural change insights. Insights that have helped organisations to better understand and respond to factors that influence the mindset and behaviour of their diverse customers, employees (current and potential) and decision makers.
In essence, I show organisations how to inclusively and ethically use behavioural change insights to shape and change behaviour that:
- Effectively attracts, engages and retains customers and employees
- Enables informed strategic decision-making
- Provides a competitive edge, and more
These days, I’m focusing on fighting health inequalities, through volunteering, as a trustee of Sheffield Occupational Health Association, a member of the Patient Engagement Committee of Findacure (a rare disease support organisation), a Macmillan cancer well-being coach and a member of Sheffield and Hallamshire Football Association Inclusion Group; and through my new social health and wellness (person-centred and culturally-relevant) behaviour change coaching business. The goal of this chapter of my life is to provide and/or enable access for all (i.e. people whose voices are often under-represented, overlooked and under-valued) to a creative, engaging and motivating experience, leading to practical and sustainable behaviour change that results in improved physical, emotional and mental health and well-being.
Finally, I am excited to be a member of the Opus Head Board, and I look forward to connecting with and learning from others on the various Opus boards, as well as sharing my diverse experience to help Opus ethically, sustainably and profitably grow.
Rosie Eagleton
I’m currently the Business Development Manager at Barnsley Museums, with a focus on commercial and audience development through events, retail and hospitality. I have a background in cultural development, having spent 12 years at Museums Sheffield in Visitor Services, Event Management and Public Programming. Over the years I’ve worked with many organisations including Sheffield University, Hallam University, the Great Sheffield Art Show, Sheffield Doc/Fest and Festival of Debate.
I’m a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellow, having spent time in over 30 cultural institutions in the USA and producing a report on how museums and galleries can attract young adult audiences through evening programmes, partnership working, informal education and networking.
Sheffield is my passion and I love our city. We have such a great history of engagement in democracy and debate and I’m keen to support Opus in maintaining a strong voice for the city in these uncertain times.
Steve Pool
I trained as a sculptor in Sheffield, graduating in 1989. Since then I have done all sorts including 10 years as a dad at home looking after our three kids. I work as a freelance visual artist, and have worked in schools, museums and galleries with communities, and for universities. I have a soft spot for adventure playgrounds and an interest in play and ideas about what freedom of choice means for young people. I’m currently studying for a PhD but I won’t mention what I’m doing as I can already see people’s eyes glazing over.
Steve Rimmer
I’ve lived in Sheffield for nearly 34 years. My whole life, born and bred. From old industrial buildings to parks and valleys I’ve seen so many amazing sites and met so many amazing, sociable, helpful, genuine people, along the way.
So while it’s hard not to love your hometown, the place you grew up, the place my whole immediate family lives, the place I met – and married – my wife, I believe there’s something more than that. A creative undercurrent and distinctively friendly feeling that comes across from so many individual people here. It’s helped me to set up Tickets for Good, The Ticket Bank and CADS Trust.
I’m really excited to join the Opus Head Board because I think the organisation is such a strong voice for good in the world and aligns with my values both personally and professionally. I believe now more than ever, that organisations with a purposeful approach are particularly important to our society.
Zak Ahmed
As a Postgraduate (MSc) in Human Resources Development and passionate advocate of experiential learning, I am the Founder of AALFY, a social enterprise in Sheffield supporting local people facing barriers to employment. My mission is to support disadvantaged groups of people develop future skills in the changing landscape of employment.
I joined the Opus Head Board to share my experience of social enterprise but also to learn and share best-practice.
